Step 1: To access the Main menu, look for the vertical list of options on the left side of the page.
Step 2: Click on “OKR” to open a submodule with a list of options. Within the submodule click “My view”.
Step 3: Click on ‘Objective’ to view the Key Results. Then, click on the KR menu and select the “Promote” option.
“Promote” will help to launch the key result to an objective. However, the below conditions apply:
1. Promotion is not possible for individual objectives.
2. A key result that has already been checked in cannot be promoted.
3. If the align option is enabled, promotion is not allowed when the objective has the same cadence, the same objective type, and the same owner.
Step 4: Enable the “Keep Aligned to this Objective” toggle button to align the promoted objective with the parent objective. If you disable the toggle button, the promoted objective will not be aligned with the parent objective. Afterward, select the objective type.
Step 5: If you are in a quarterly cadence, you cannot change the cadence. However, if you are in a half-yearly or yearly cadence, you can change it. Then, select the objective owner in the “Assigned To” field.
Step 6: Finally, click the “Launch” button to promote the key result to an objective.
